Dr. Joe Lstiburek

Dr. Joe Lstiburek is the founding principal of Building Science Corporation, one of the most influential, innovative, and respected building science firms in North America. Dr. Lstiburek’s work ranges widely, from providing expert witness testimony to overseeing research and development projects, to writing for the ASHRAE Journal. His commitment to advancing the building industry has had a lasting impact on building codes and practices throughout the world, particularly in the areas of air barriers, vapor barriers, and vented and unvented roof assemblies.

Dr. Lstiburek is also an acclaimed educator who has taught thousands of professionals over the past three decades and written countless papers as well as the best-selling Builder Guides. His commitment to education earned him the hailing, "the dean of North American building science" by the Wall Street Journal.

Dr. Lstiburek holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Building Science. Dr. John Straube

Dr. John Straube, Ph.D., P.Eng., is a Principal at RDH Building Science Inc., where he heads forensic investigations and leads research projects in the areas of low-energy building design, building enclosure performance, hydrothermal analysis, and field monitoring of wall assemblies. He is also a prolific writer and a noted public speaker.

In addition to his work with RDH, Dr. Straube is a cross-appointed faculty member in the School of Architecture and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Straube’s leadership as a building scientist and an educator has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award in Building Science Education from the National Consortium of Housing Research Centers (NCHRC) and the Professional Leadership Award from the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA). Graham Finch

Graham Finch, Principal and Senior Building Science Specialist, is a building science engineer who specializes in research and investigation work. His work experience includes a wide range of projects including building enclosure condition assessments, forensic investigations, research studies, energy assessments, building monitoring programs, field review, and testing services for new and existing buildings across North America. He has worked with numerous building product manufacturers on product research and development, performance monitoring, and field testing.

Graham has authored and contributed to many publications, including industry guideline documents related to durable and energy-efficient building enclosures. He is regularly invited by building industry organizations and clients to speak on practical and technical issues related to a broad range of building science topics, and actively presents technical papers and presentations at local and international conferences. Matt Risinger
Matt Risinger is the CEO & Chief Builder at Risinger & Co. Upon graduating from Grove City College in Pennsylvania with a degree in Industrial Management, Matt began his construction career at NVR in Washington DC. In 2005 Matt and his growing family relocated to Austin where he started Risinger & Company. Matt is dedicated to Building Science and is a recognized expert & thought leader in the industry. He also has a large following on his YouTube channel, where you can find videos on installation techniques, product reviews, and everything in between.
Todd Kimmel
Todd Kimmel has been with Dörken Systems since 2015 and to his role of Technical Consultant he brings his 17+ years of experience in building enclosures and façade systems. Todd has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from New York University. He is a Certified Passive House Consultant, a Construction Documents Technician (CDT), and currently sits on the Board for New York Passive House (NYPH).
Peter Barrett
Peter Barrett is the Product Manager for Dörken Systems, and has been with the company for over 10 years. His involvement with the design community and building materials industry spans over 25 years. Peter holds a BA (Hons.) from Queen’s University and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) and on the Audit Committee. Peter has also contributed to The Construction Specifier, Construct Canada, Tunnel Business, and Masonry Magazine.
Marcus Jablonka
Marcus Jablonka has been Vice President of Dörken Systems for nearly 10 years. Marcus is a voting member of the ABAA Technical Committee and the ASTM E06 Committee on Performance of Buildings. He is also a member of the National Institute of Building Sciences and the Building Enclosure Technology and Environmental Council. Until December 2016, Marcus served as President of the Building Envelope Moisture Management Institute (BEMMI). He holds a Mechanical Engineer degree from the University of Paderborn, as well as a graduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Bochum, Germany. Marcus has contributed to many industry publications, including The Structural Engineer, Journal of Civil Engineering and Architecture, ASHRAE, Interface (Technical Journal of RCI), Journal of Building Enclosure Design, and The Construction Specifier.
